HI peeps!
ANy idea when you drive into M'SIA-JB, the ica police have a stop at one of the gate(after checking passport) - to check our petrol level right? But,They seems to be checking on m'sia car oni nia leh... So,what exactly are they checking at the 'tv' when you drive pass them? Any people can provide details or any experience to share?

if not wrong.. the petrol lvl is random check one... whether ur SG/MY.. i dunno which "TV" ur talking about... theres lots of "tv" at the customs lol. they are probably identifying wanted people bah... cannot be every car come in x-ray .. think only big lorries have to be scanned in x-ray.. anyway why u wanna know lol. sounds fishy.

Guess he wanted to try his luck to go in with less than 3/4 of petrol inside his tank.

check car plate number validity, just need quick key in computer it'll tell.

To check if Msian car got pay FINE or SUMMON. If msian car haven't pay up, they cannot leave the country

Also check SG car got pay ROAD TAX or not. If not, cannot leave

ICA - Three Quarter Tank Rule

Singapore registered cars must have at least 3/4 tank of petrol when departing Singapore. Hybrid motor vehicles, as well as Compressed Natural Gas vehicles with petrol tanks are also subject to compliance of the 3/4 tank ruling.

Failure to do so constitutes an offence. On settlement of the offence, you will have to turn back to top up your fuel if you wish to continue on the journey.

On that note,

Those caught with less than three-quarter tank of petrol can be fined up to $500.
