Isn’t the endless stream of auto shows great? We’re still in the midst of SEMA, but details on the new Porsche Boxster Spyder being debuted at the LA Auto Show have made their way to the forefront. The slim Boxster offering cuts about 176 pounds of fat, bringing total weight down to 2,811 lbs. The light-duty fabric top limits the new Porsche’s versatility in climates where temperatures regularly duck below 50 and clouds converge daily, but it’s certainly a playful little convertible for places where the sun isn’t shy. The Spyder features a 320 hp 3.4 liter six cylinder paired with a seven-speed PDK dual clutch transmission. It hits 60 in 4.6 seconds and offers 25.3 mpg fuel economy. It will be available in February of next year with a starting sticker of $61,200.
