Can I look for a private instructor even though I just enrolled with SSDC? ryman1 Nov 7th, 09, 01:06 AM #1 (permalink)
Hi all,

I just enrolled with SSDC to learn theory stuff with them. However, I only paid for those package theory lessons etc and have not done BTT yet. I was thinking of getting a private instructor after BTT. What do I have to do? Can I look for someone who is qualified to teach me or do I have to go through them to find a private instructor?

Thanks.

I don't know. Just sign up after the briefing they gave me. Telling me how bad is private etc etc. Like kena brain wash.

I pass my theory trial test required by the school today and now I'm finding test date for my BTT with the school. I just hope I can do practical ASAP, with the school or private.

I don't think he's really trying to brainwash lah.
SSDC has the lowest first-timer passing rate among the three schools. And if you learn private, and do your test at SSDC, the passing rate is probably even lower.

Anyway, you enrol as theory student with SSDC only, right?
So if you learn from a private instructor should not be a problem.

one thing to take note is that enrolling in driving school will give you priority in the queue for the test dates cos' they allocate more seats to their own students. And, if you really fail in the 1st try (**touchwood**), the test date for the 2nd try is much shorter wait than that of private instructor. And, if you enrol in school, you get to go around the circuit before gettting out of the roads. For private, you have to pay extras to use the circuit.

Though school is more expensive, but you are paying for all these 'premiums' lah!

Cheers!
