What you are driving now.. and what you would like.. booest Jun 2nd, 06, 02:15 PM #1 (permalink)
ok, we all buy cars for various reasons.
money is one of them and other factors like
family, usage, terrain..etc also comes in play...

So what are you driving now and why?
...............and What would you rather have ...

For me, I am not so speed demon. I just like big cars..Maybe it is my size and I do enjoy the extra leg room. I am own a car but since family seems to need one I am considering.

I choose the Toyota WISH...why?
- Famous for its efficient fuel consumption
- spacious
- Cost seems right
- looks pretty good.
- only bad thing is that it is PI ONLY.. 1.8l model.

But what I really want as impractical as it may be in Singapore is the Aston Martin DB9.

What I would be more practical for Singapore conditions would be a Lexus RX300 or Harrier... logo do not matter to me.

so share with me your little wonder and dreams

Am I asking for too much?

lulu, a few thousands more from a passat to a phaeton???? you sure or not!!!!

back to the topic...

previous rides: Mazda 929 (heavily modded, shoehorned GTR-32 engine, quaife tranny), Toyota Corolla (lightly modded, usual exhaust/intake & wheel upgrades)
current ride: Toyota Camry 2.0 (no mods, except for wheels)

Toyota has one of best engines in terms of economy, reliability and durability.
This car is SPACIOUS - many can attest to it, esp the trunk space.
This particular engine is very very torquey - again, even with booest, josh and me in it, it can still pull!
Cheap to maintain
Spare parts can be found very easily (aftermarket enhancements too, but that's another story )

Dream Cars: Porsche 911 GT2, 1969 Ford Mustang, Holden Monaro HSV GTO, McLaren F1

Practical Dream Cars: Porsche 911 Carrera4, Toyota Supra, Honda S2000, Nissan 350Z, Audi 12cyl A8, Chrysler 300C SRT8, Lexus LS430

got lots more lah... but they are those that come to mind.

currently student, no money to buy car... but cars are freaking cheap over here in UK... well, but the parking will kill..

when i'm back in sg, i'm lucky to be able to drive my parents car.

Current Rides: Honda Civic ES1, Honda Stream 1.7L

Previous Rides: Mitsubishi Lancer MR Mivec 1.6L, Nissan Sunny Ex Salon

no need to ask, the Mivec is my personal favourite, simple love it, with its 175BHP NA DOHC engine. Too bad, after i passed my driving for abt 7 mths, change to the Civic. Not enough time to learn more abt car modding. But its my parents' car, so i won't do anything to it.

My dream car would be the Mitsubishi Evo, if i cant afford, at least a WRX.

i'm not those who would go for those European cars. dun find them appealling to me. They are heavy and drink petrol like mad.

Current Ride: Black Honda Fit 1.3L
+ I like hatches
+ FC of this car is good
+ Lot of aftermarket mods available
+ Common car, so maintenance shouldn't cost a lot
+ Spacious Interior, even my friend who's 1.9+m has no complaints sitting behind, while he has complained abt the rear legroom in the Nissan Sunny & Renault Clio2
+ Good lowend torque @ 2800rpm
+ Good Looking
+ Lots of different ways to customise how you want it to look.
+ It's a Honda
- Only Auto CVT Transmission available for the 1.3 Model, while Manual Transmission is available for the 1.5L Model

Previous Rides: Nissan March, Renault Clio2, Nissan Sunny N16(Well, occasionally will still use it)
- Love my uncle's Renault Clio2 the most. It gave me a really nice experience with a racing clutch(stiff but shiok to use). Had the potential to mod until very nice. A pity there's very few aftermarket mods available for it locally.

Practical Dream Car: Honda Integra Type R, Civic Type R, Renault Clio RS

Dream Car: Honda S2000
-Yes, i know they're just Hondas, except the Renault... but oh well, that's just me, I'm a Honda fan. And I don't really fancy super cars.

Woah. Another Honda fan..

My dream car would be a S2000 with the 2 litre engine instead of the current 2.2 litre. Another would be the father of all honda. The NSX-R.
