hi there,for the shot of the "odd 1 out" i just used an old fuji 6.1MP digital camera i had without a tripod it was around evening time.as for sharpness,i like to tweak my shots in photoshop.colour correction,exposure,brightness etc. and in that case i used a filter called "sharpen" it can really give objects great definition when used in the right context.
btw,i find it rather strange that your picture of the road is blurry with a 30D though
