Well, I booked for my ferry + accomodation from Indo Falcon Shipping

Batam custom staffs are quite friendly. I pass through their immigration with ease.

Taxi wise, well, u can haggle prices with roadside flagged down taxi, but if u are unfamiliar with the area, then I suggest you book from taxi counter - rather expensive, S$15 to S$17 thereabout, but at least it's a lot safer. Not sure if there's any changes to the price tho.

If u intend to go multiple places in a day, then I suggest u negotiate with the 1st taxi driver that drives u from ferry terminal to ur hotel. Ask them to quote u the price. From there minus the $15 u already paid to the taxi counter for transportation to ur 1st destination, and bargain the amount with the taxi driver.

Take note that whatever amount u've agreed upon, you only pay after entire day's journey have been completed. Otherwise, if the taxi driver run away, u will go GG.
