23/02/2009 - Lunch time

Went to eat A&W @ Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall.

I Had 2 pc chicken with curly fries and root beer float.

My friend had the same stuffs, but with cheesy curly fries

After lunch, we went to Barelang bridge. According to the taxi driver, Barelang bridge is a chain of bridges connecting batam mainland to the smaller remote islands. Total there are 6 bridges altogether. However, 5 look pretty much like a normal bridge. Only the 1st bridge has a more distinct design.

It's about 40km drive from the start of the 1st bridge to the last. Distance between the hotel I stayed in to the last bridge is approx. 80km - twice the length of PIE!

At the bridge:

Pedagang Kaki Lima - Street/Roadside sellers

Me, about half a meter away from the edge?

Indonesia's GE is coming... schedule to be somewhere ard March/April 2009 IIRC. The current president is from this party:

Drainage hole on the bridge:

---

After which, we went back to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall to do some light shopping, followed by dinner:

Drinks, "Teh Botol"

Main course, "Promo Febuari: Mie Bakso Jumbo Spesial"

Dessert, "Es Teler"

After our dinner, we went back to the hotel... and these were the stuffs we bought:

-----

We had these for our night snacks:

Doraemon's favourite food

Tahu goreng Sumedang:

--

Then we take a walk around the hotel...

The library at the lift lobby of the floor we stayed at

Becak - "Trishaw"

Went to the nightclub within the hotel itself...

Had some games of pool...

and baileys

--

24/02/2009 - The Checkout Day

Had our sumptuous breakfast at the hotel's restaurant..

Then went back to our room and had "Bintang ZERO". Bought this from the hypermart the day before. Thought it was kinda interesting drink. Non-alcoholic malt.

Verdict: Tastes funny, not gonna drink it anymore.

The last meal before departing for SG:

Nasi padang - rice, beef rendang, gulai ayam, daun singkong, cabe hijau.

----

THE END!! Thx for viewing!

back in SINgapore....

more pics will be uploaded once I'm done with processing.. some pics are with my friend's cam.. so gotta wait for my friend to send me 1st

1. That's not starcruises ship.. no idea by who.. but ship's name is "Nautica"
2. Novotel hotel - room kinda small tho... approx 28sqm only (my own estimation)
3. Indo Falcon Shipping - I book from them
4. Total price paid incl s'pore taxes - $92
5. $7 Batam tax to be paid on return trip - $6 for pax fee, $1 for compulsory insurance, underwritten by "JASINDO"

--------

Hans!! Bought back 200ml version of teh botol
1 box of Astor also..

My bag went into X-Ray machine @ SCC then the operator hit the stop button, then stare into my bag contents.. got zoom zoom also..

Think could be because the Astor sticks look like contraband ciggies..

PS: I bought back 1 litre of indomilk susu UHT

---------

Off, I go for my corporate D&D...

Very KETAT schedule.. just back home nia going out liao
